Why learn hang gliding using the scooter tow method?This is an innovative method developed, in corroboration with the American association, and provides an opperunity to exersice all leveles of flights to perfection as well as foot lunches, turns and landings. Practice can be held at all seasons, without being dependant on weather or wind direction. Practice takes place at very low altitudes. The instructor uses a cable to control the students' flight and correct his mistakes. Dozens of people around the world have already learned hang gliding using the scooter tow method. Students learn at a fast pace. Security level is maximal and uncompromising.
In comparison with the old method: No more wasted days spent waiting for the right wind. No more trying to decipher what the instructor is shouting from the top of a distant hill, when the trainee can't hear and corect his misstakes. No more tiresome dragging of the glider up hills, what slows down the pace of learning and comperhending the lesson.
Why us? Levin Hang Gliding is the only authorised hang gliding school by IFA Israel. Because we are expert hang gliding instructors, and the only ones using the scooter tow method in Israel. Our gliders were specially designed by the worlds' leading manufacturer, for teaching purposes, without damaging the flying experience. Instructions are done in groups, but the progress is individual.
Head instructor: Yaron Levin Very experienced, has been hang gliding since 1995. Second generation hang glider. The only hang gliding instructor in Israel qualified by the American association (USHPA) to teach using the scooter tow method. Qualified as a hang gliding instructor by the Israeli hang gliding association. A major importer of gliding equipment with good connections with the worlds leading manufacturers of hang gliding equipment. Has been representing Israel at international competitions since 1998.
